Lethbridge, AB - Giorgio Estephan scored the game-winning goal 53 seconds into overtime as the Lethbridge Hurricanes edged the Prince Albert Raiders 3-2 on Saturday night at the Enmax Centre.

The Raiders were led offensively by 16-year-old forward Parker Kelly, who collected a goal and an assist for two points. His effort gave Prince Albert a 2-0 lead in the first period. Sean Montgomery also scored for the Raiders.

Trailing by two heading into the second period, the Hurricanes pressed hard and tied the game with a pair of tallies in the middle frame. Former Raider Cory Millette netted a pair of goals before Estephan ended the game on a breakaway in three-on-three overtime.

Ian Scott got the call between the pipes for Prince Albert and made 31 saves on 34 attempts. Jayden Sittler stopped 20 of 22 shots for Lethbridge.

The Hurricanes outshot the Raiders 34-22. Prince Albert went 0-for-3 on the power play, while Lethbridge was 0-for-5.

The Raiders see their record slip to 26-14-4-1 on the season, but move within a point of the East Division leading Brandon Wheat Kings. The Hurricanes stretch their lead atop the WHL standings and improve their record to 33-12-0-0.

The Raiders return to the Art Hauser Centre on Friday, January 22 when they host the Brandon Wheat Kings. Puck drop is 7:00 PM. For ticket information, visit raiderhockey.com or call 764-GAME.
