Calgary, AB - Jake Bean scored at 2:42 of overtime, lifting the Calgary Hitmen to a 3-2 comeback win over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Saturday evening at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Hitmen, who fell behind 2-0, forced the extra session when Jackson Houck netted the tying goal with less than four minutes remaining in regulation time.

Jakob Stukel also scored for Calgary while Travis Sanheim added a pair of assists to extend his point streak to a career-high eight games.

Davis Koch and Anatolii Elizarov replied for Edmonton who was outshot 39-18.

Payton Lee, in a first star performance, made 36 saves for the visitors while Cody Porter stopped 16 shots for the Hitmen to pick up the win. The victory moves Calgary to within four points of the Red Deer Rebels for second place in the WHL's Central Division.

Calgary, 27-17-1-1, returns to action next weekend with a pair of home games, first welcoming the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday, Jan. 22, before hosting the Swift Current Broncos on Saturday, Jan. 23. Both contests are 7:00 p.m. starts at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
