Prior to last night, the Stingrays' last shutout at home came on March 9, 2007, a 3-0 win over Reading ... During their eight-game win streak, South Carolina has outscored their opponents 35-13 ... Campbell, in the midst of a five-game point streak (2g, 4a), was the twelfth different Stingrays player to register a game-winning goal this season ... Following a victory, South Carolina is 11-3-0 in 2007-08 ... Eight different goaltenders have seen action with the Checkers this season while two others, team President Jeff Longo and broadcaster Jason Shaya, have served as emergency backups.

The Stingrays stretched their winning streak to eight games with a 3-0 victory over the Pensacola Ice Pilots last night at the North Charleston Coliseum. Trent Campbell potted a pair of goals, while rookie netminder Josh Johnson stopped all 31 shots faced to record his first professional shutout. The Checkers, meanwhile, dropped a 2-1 shootout decision last evening to the Augusta Lynx.
