SHOTS FROM THE POINT 08-09

ROAD TRIP REPORT: The Rampage went 1-1-1-0 last week as the northeast portion of the Rodeo Road Trip concluded. San Antonio lost in OT to Bridgeport before crushing Providence 5-1 last Friday. The Rampage dropped a 7-3 decision against Quad City on Valentine's Day as the Flames scorched the Rampage for six second period goals. Still, San Antonio is 3-3-2-1 through nine games earning nine points.

WHO'S THAT GUY?: Kyle Turris, the #3 overall pick in the 2007 NHL Draft, made his Rampage debut Friday in Providence scoring two goals and adding an assist. Turris, reassigned by Phoenix last week, has points in his first three games with San Antonio, including a three-point game today. Coming into the 2007 Draft, Turris was rated the #2 pro prospect by Hockey News.

WELCOME BACK: Despite a bevy of roster moves this month, the Rampage offense has been bolstered by the returns of captain Jeff Hoggan and center Joel Perrault. Hoggan leads the Rampage with 18 goals, while Perrault posted 2 goals and an assist in 7 games with Phoenix. Perrault has 8 goals and 22 assists in 27 games with the Rampage.

CONTINUE THE CLIMB : San Antonio began their 13-game road trip with two losses and no points. Since then, the Rampage are 3-1-2-1 with nine points. Every point counts for a Rampage team that began the season 2-20-0-1 with 5 points. The Rampage enter the week with 52 points after today's win over Rockford.

DID YOU SAY PLAYOFFS?: San Antonio is only seven points behind fourth place Chicago, nine back of Houston and 10 behind second place Rockford. After today's matinee with the IceHogs, San Antonio has 21 games remaining, including 14 within the division. Six of those contests include both Rockford and Houston.

Upcoming Promotions Military Appreciation Night, Feb. 28: The Rampage will pay tribute to the men and women who have served and are currently serving our country by wearing a special jersey that will be auctioned off after the game. All proceeds will benefit Operation Comfort. Fans can purchase Seats for Soldiers by calling 444-5554.
