Amerks Hit the Community After Week Long Road Trip

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans players will be busy this week off the ice as well as on as they are set for three appearances. You can catch up with on the team at the Power Play Radio show tonight at The Distillery on Winton Rd. and at the TC Hooligans in Webster Tuesday night as part of the restaurants kid's nights. Also join the team on the ice Thursday for the annual Wendy's Skate with the Players.

Fans can tune into listen to Amerks defenseman Jason Garrison, Amerks President Lewis Staats and Knighthawks Chris Schiller and Anthony Kelly. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. as hosts Don Stevens and Craig Rybczynski will talk with all guests remotely live on WSYL 1040 AM and wysl1040.com

Everyone can also join Amerks forward Tanner Glass and Jenine from the American Spirit dance team out at TC Hooligans in Webster (809 Ridge Rd) on Tuesday, February 17th. The Amerks will be sponsoring Kids Night at the restaurant where children age 10 and under can eat free and the Amerks, Knighthawks and TC Hooligans will also raffle off prizes each night to benefit CURE Childhood Cancer Association (CURE).

Thursday, February 19th marks the date for the annual Skate with the Players event sponsored by local area Wendy's. The skate is slated for 10:30 a.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. All skaters must bring their own skates to join the team on their home ice.

Admission to the event is free to the public. Those who wish to skate must have a ticket that can be picked up at local Monroe County Wendy's locations, while supplies last. Members of the Amerks' Kids Club may also pick tickets up at the kid's club table at any Amerks home game.

The Amerks return home on Wednesday, February 18th to host the Grand Rapids Griffins at The Blue Cross Arena. The 7:05 p.m. contest will be broadcast live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and AHL Live. It's the Moose's Birthday! Perry's will provide ice cream for the occasion and the first 3,000 fans will receive goalie key chains, courtesy of Time Warner!
