San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO - Eight players recorded multiple point games, as the San Antonio Rampage (21-12-3-0) beat the Iowa Wild (13-21-1-1) in front of 9,117 at the AT&T Center on Value Night, presented by SWBC. All but three players recorded at least a point as San Antonio's eight goals tied a franchise high - as well as a season high - for goals scored in a game.

Garrett Wilson, Josh McFadden, Steven Kampfer, Brett Olson, Logan Shaw, Jesse Blacker and Mark Mancari all recorded a goal and an assist.

Zack Mitchell got the Wild on the board first, taking a centering pass from Marc Hagel and putting the puck past Dan Ellis. San Antonio answered with Josh McFadden's first goal of the season, as his blast from the high slot beat Johan Gustafsson to make it 1-1 at 6:25.

Mark Mancari gave the Rampage their first lead just past the midway point of the opening frame, as his shot from the left circle deflected off an Iowa defenseman and in. With the secondary assist on the goal, Corban Knight recorded his 12th point of the season and first in a Rampage uniform. The Wild scored twice in the final minute of the frame, getting goals from Matt Dumba and Hagel, and the Rampage trailed 3-2 entering the first intermission.

San Antonio would score the next six goals of the game while holding the Wild scoreless over the final 40 minutes of play. Connor Brickley and Wilson each netted goals in the second period, and the scoring frenzy continued in the third.

Jesse Blacker scored his third of the season, punching a cross-crease pass from Wilson past Gustafsson. Logan Shaw and Rocco Grimaldi connected on a breakaway to give Shaw his 10th goal of the season and the Rampage a 6-3 lead.

With the Silver and Black on a 5-on-3 power play late in the game, Steven Kampfer's one-timer from the point extended San Antonio's lead to four goals, and Olson hammered one home with 12 seconds remaining to account for the final 8-3 score.

San Antonio outshot Iowa 52-31, the largest shot differential the Rampage have had over a team this season. The Silver and Black finished 3-for-6 on the power play, and Dan Ellis made 28 saves on 31 shots.
