Oklahoma City Barons News Release

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - David Musil had a goal and an assist and Richard Bachman stopped all 28 shots he faced as the Oklahoma City Barons defeated the Rochester Americans 2-0 Saturday night at Blue Cross Arena.

Musil's first goal of the season broke a scoreless tie at 11:57 of the second period when the Barons defenseman received a Ryan Hamilton pass in the high Rochester slot and sent a wrist shot past Americans goalie Matt Hackett.

Later in the game, Josh Winquist provided Oklahoma City insurance, scoring his fourth goal of the season by flipping a rebounded Musil shot past Hackett. Winquist's goal extended his personal point streak to five games. With an assist on the goal, Musil collected the first multi-point game of his AHL career.

Jujhar Khaira assisted on both Oklahoma City goals.

Bachman recorded his second shutout of the season and 13th in six AHL seasons.

With the win, AHL Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City improved to 25-8-2-2. Rochester fell to 15-22-1-0.

The Barons next travel to Hamilton, Ontario, where they will face the Bulldogs on Sunday, Jan. 11, in a 2 p.m. CST start at FirstOntario Centre. The game will be the Barons' third in three days spanning three cities.
