Today's game...

Tonight's inter-division match-up against the Manitoba Moose is San Antonio's first of three-game in three night session in consecutive nights, while marking the ninth game of a 12-game road trip (longest of the season) for the Rampage...The Rampage (21-24-6-0), who is 2-1-0-0 in their last three games, play their third North Division opponent (other: SYR, ROC) tonight of the week...San Antonio (48) is two points from tying the fifth and final playoff spot in the West Division (with Cincinnati), while the Moose (20-28-7-2) are last in their division with 49 points...The Rampage are 9-13-2-0 in 24 road games this season...Following tonight's game, the Rampage will face off against Manitoba again tomorrow night.

Against Manitoba Moose: Tonight's contest marks the first of a two-game series between the two clubs and the third meeting (of four) for the regular season...The Rampage, who travel to Winnipeg Arena for the first time this year, are undefeated this season against Manitoba and 3-0-3-0 overall since San Antonio joined the AHL last season...The Rampage have won both games at the SBC Center this season, including their 4-1 victory in their last meeting on Nov. 5...The Rampage have tied the Moose 2-2 in both contests at Winnipeg Arena last season on Feb. 15 and 16...Manitoba has lost their last five games (0-5-0-0)...The Rampage are 4-5-0-0 against North Division teams this season, while the Moose are 7-11-4-2 against West Division opponents.

Game Notes...

OLSON TWINS: Left wing Josh Olson has scored a power-play goal in two of his last three games. Of those three games, he has collected 4-1-5 totals, while registering 7-2-9 in his last 10 games with a +3 rating.

GO, GO, GOREN: Right wing Lee Goren has scored at least a point in nine of his last 10 games, collecting 7-6-13 totals, including his three-point night (2-1-3; PPG) on Monday at Syracuse. Prior to his scoreless outing last Thursday, the captain has recorded 4-3=7 pts. in five games, which matches two previous season-streak highs, which he captured 4-1-5 totals (including 2 PPG, 2 SHG) from Nov. 7-20, and 3-7-10 totals from Nov. 28-Jan.8 (missed 11 games to injury).

A VIEW TO A PENALTY KILL: San Antonio's penalty killing unit has been special as of late, having killed all of their opponents' opportunities in five of their last seven games. In fact, the Rampage have killed all but three of their man-disadvantages in their last eight games (26 of 29; 89.7%) and are 31 for 38 (81.6%) in their last 10 games.

SIX-SHOOTERS: San Antonio's sextet of Eric Beaudoin (20g, 22a), Mike Green (12g, 23a), Denis Shvidki (13g, 26a), Lee Goren (16g, 17a), Michel Periard (5g, 17a) and Josh Olson (16g, 9a) currently accounts for 196 points—54.9% of the team's overall total of 357.

- In fact, the six pack have tallied 82 goals, equaling 61.7% of the team's 133 goals scored.

BLUELINE POWER: Defenseman Michel Periard is one of the top rookie leaders in power-play points. The freshman paces all AHL rookies in assists (12) and co-leads in PP points (16).

TARGET PRACTICE: San Antonio has been outshot in 24 of their last 31 games (1019-805). In those 31 games, San Antonio has given up at least 40 shots three times, while allowing 40+ shots five times this season. In 51 games to date, the Rampage have outshot their opposition only 13 times and allow an average of 32.69 shots per game (1667 total).

THREE-N-THREE: So far, the Rampage have played five sets of playing three games in as many nights, tallying a 6-8-1-0 record. San Antonio will play a total of 10 sets of three-games in three-night sessions this year.

SHVIDKI GETTING TRICKY: All-Star forward Denis Shvidki recorded the team's first hat trick this season against Norfolk on Feb. 7, including the game winner. In fact, the right wing had a three-game scoring streak (4-1=5) from Feb. 6-12. He currently has 6-3-9 totals in his last 10 games (4-1-5 in last 5 GP).

ROAD WARRIORS: Having started on Wed., Feb. 4, the Rampage play 14 of the month's 15 games on the road, when the San Antonio Livestock Exhibition and Rodeo takes over the SBC Center. After seven games completed on the road swing, the Rampage are 4-4-0-0...Prior to the Feb. 16 game at Syracuse, the Rampage had the least amount of road games to date with 22.

TREMONDOUS TWO'S: The Rampage have an awesome track record when heading into the third period with a lead. The Rampage have an undefeated 14-1-2-0 record when leading after two periods. In fact, the Rampage also own an impressive 15-9-1-0 record when scoring the game's first goal.

HEY NOW...YOU'RE AN ALL-STAR: Right wing Denis Shvidki replaced left wing Eric Beaudoin in the 2004 Pepsi AHL All-Star Classic, held at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich. on Feb. 8-9. Shvidki played for Planet USA, and recorded an assist. He participated in the 2001 AHL All-Star Classic in Wilkes-Barre as a 20-year-old rookie, and set a league All-Star record with a five-point game. He becomes the second Rampage player to represent San Antonio in the annual event (2003: Filip Novak-PlanetUSA). Beaudoin was among 21 skaters and three goaltenders named to the Canadian roster, but became unavailable due to recall to the NHL's Florida Panthers on Jan. 19.

THE WEST WING: San Antonio has played 34 games against a team in the West Division this season. The Rampage, who are 13-16-5-0 against West Division opponents this season, will play 60 games against the West Division this year. In total, San Antonio will face a North Division team 12 times (4-5-0-0), including tonight's game against Manitoba, while playing teams from the Atlantic (2-1-1-0) and East (2-2-0-0) Divisions on four occasions.

LEADER OF THE PACK: Netminder Travis Scott leads all AHL netminders in saves with 1257. His 18-19-5 record is three wins shy of sharing the lead among AHL goaltenders. Scott also ranks second in minutes played (2515). In fact, Scott has notched his 10th win in only 15 games played—seven fewer than former Rampage netminder Chris Mason (1/8/03).
