Connecticut Whale News Release

Hartford, February 20, 2004 -- With 24 games left in the 2003-04 regular season, the Hartford Wolf Pack set a new league record for most shutouts for a team. Their 3-0 blanking of the division-rival Bridgeport Sound Tigers, breaks the previous record of 13 held by Syracuse in 2001-2002. The shutout for goaltender Jason LaBarbera is his 11th of the season, and he continues to lead the league with 22 wins.

The Wolf Pack announced tonight that on February 28, former Team USA goalie Jim Craig will make a presentation to LaBarbera before their game against Lowell to mark the Hartford netminder's record-setting play.

The Pack continues to lead the league with the fewest goals against in the American Hockey League (102).

The AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack hockey club is part of Madison Square Garden LP. Cablevision Systems Corporation owns a controlling interest in MSG LP, which also includes the New York Rangers (NHL), New York Knicks (NBA), the New York Liberty (WNBA), the MSG Network, Fox Sports Net and the Madison Square Garden arena complex.
