Thrashers Say Mack Has The Knack

The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled center Derek MacKenzie from the Chicago Wolves.

MacKenzie, who ranks third on the team with 13 goals and sixth on the club with 27 points in 50 games with Chicago this season. MacKenzie, who was recalled by Atlanta on Nov. 21 and Jan. 6, is scoreless in three games with the Thrashers this season.

The Sudbury, Ontario, native recorded two penalty minutes in his National Hockey League debut on April 12, 2002, against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Overall, the 22-year-old forward has registered 40 goals, 44 assists and 84 points in 198 American Hockey League games spanning three seasons (2001-2004) with the Wolves.
