Rampage Fall 4-1 in Manitoba Friday

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Canada - (November 21, 2008) - The San Antonio Rampage fell 4-1 to the Manitoba Moose at the MTS Centre on Friday night. Moose forward Jason Jaffray scored a pair of goals as Manitoba swept a two game set with the Rampage.

The Moose drew first blood late in the first period as forward Alexandre Bulduc got loose on a shorthanded breakaway and finished it with a backhander at 17:50. Undeterred the Rampage stayed the course on the power play and came right back to tie the game. Defenseman Dylan Reese wristed a terrific pass from the blueline down low to forward Chad Kolarik who corralled it, then switched to the backhand and scored at 19:24. The goal was the fifth of the year for Kolarik, tying him for the team lead.

Manitoba retook the lead early in the second period as Jaffrey found a deflection off the end boards and lifted it into the net at 1:34. Late in the frame the Moose struck again, this time as Mark Cullen picked up the puck down low and roofed it for a 3-1 lead at 18:50.

Manitoba put the game away late in the third period when Jaffray connected again, this time on a one timer from the bottom of the right circle at 15:05 for a power play goal to complete the scoring. FINAL SCORE Manitoba 4, San Antonio 1.

Josh Tordjman stopped 29 of 33 shots in 60 minutes and took the loss to fall 1-7-1. Moose goalie Karl Goehring, who played for the Rampage in the 2005-06 season, stopped 18 of 19 shots in 60 minutes and improved 4-2-0-.

The Rampage went 1-3 on the power play while Manitoba was 1-4. The Moose out shot San Antonio 33-19.

The Rampage extended their franchise record winless streak to 12 games (0-11-0-1) and dropped to 2-15-0-1 overall.
