Penguins Make Rare Visit to Van Andel Arena

Grand Rapids Griffins (8-4-2-1) vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (9-6-0-1)

TONIGHT 7 p.m. Van Andel Arena

- The Griffins will try for their fourth consecutive home win tonight when they host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for the first time since Jan. 13, 2007 (a 4-3 SOW), in a battle between the top affiliates of last season's Stanley Cup finalists. All time, Grand Rapids is 4-0 in the regular season and 7-1 overall against the Penguins.

- Penguins goaltender Adam Berkhoel, who earned one shutout in 31 games with the Griffins last year, has shut out three consecutive opponents and leads the AHL with four blankings already this season.

- Tonight is another Dollar Beers, Dollar Dogs night. Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $1 domestic drafts from 6-8 p.m., while supplies last.

- It's College Night, presented by McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon. College students can visit the arena box office or The Zone to purchase a lower bowl ticket for just $10 with a valid student ID.

- Every Friday is also Library Night. Fans who present a public library card from the Grand Rapids Public Library or Kent District Library at the arena box office or The Zone can purchase a lower bowl ticket for just $10 (limit four per card).
