Crabb Gets The Call To Atlanta

The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled right wing JOEY CRABB from the Chicago Wolves.

The 25-year-old forward shared the team-lead with two points (G, A) in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Lake Erie Monsters, which includes tallying his team-leading second short-handed goal. He shares second on Chicago with five markers and 10 points and is tied for first with two game-winning goals in 16 outings this season.

Last year, the Anchorage, Alaska, native, tallied a career-high 26 assists, 35 points and 78 penalty minutes in 72 regular-season games as a second-year pro with the Wolves. He also contributed four assists, five points and 20 penalty minutes in 24 playoff outings en route to helping Chicago win the Calder Cup.

Overall, CRABB has notched 21 goals, 46 assists, 67 points and 126 penalty minutes in 151 regular-season outings with Chicago (2006 to present). The Colorado College graduate will be available to make his National Hockey League debut when Atlanta hosts the Columbus Blue Jackets at Philips Arena on Saturday.
