Houston Aeros News Release
HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros' 6th Annual First Flight Kids Game on Thursday, December 4, but the game isn't just for kids! Take an extended lunch break from work as part of "Hockey Hooky Day"! Get Center Ice/Club seats for just $22 (normally $32) by calling (713) 974-PUCK.
The 6th Annual First Flight Kids' Game has been a big hit each year by the kids, teachers and local business people. Last year nearly 6,000 fans attended the 11 a.m. weekday contest. This year's game on Thursday, December 4 at 11:05 a.m. is expected to have nearly 7,000 fans, so extend your lunch hour to Toyota Center and join the crowd!
Participating schools are provided with "First Flight" workbooks with hockey related math and reading questions to help the kids practice for the TAKS and TEKS tests as well as educate them about the game of hockey.
Not all students are able to attend without some help. Fans are asked for donations to provide tickets for area Title I schools. Companies or individuals who sponsor tickets for these students will be recognized at our game. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet the sponsored students and teachers at the game as well as receive âThank You' notes from the students.
Companies can also market themselves with a booth on the Toyota Center concourse for only $300 during this popular event.
