Amerks Announce Seven Dollar Fridays

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today their newest ticket promotion, "Seven Dollar Fridays." Beginning tonight, fans will be able to purchase 200 Upper End and 200 Balcony tickets for just $7.00.

"We understand that our fans are looking for more ways to save these days," said Amerks President Lewis Staats. "The Rochester Americans are making it more affordable for families and individuals to come enjoy some exciting AHL action. Our $7.00 seats make it easier for our fans to decide to come out on a Friday night to have some fun as they cheer on the Amerks."

Tickets for the 13 Friday Amerks home games can be purchased directly at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office, ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster locations or by calling (585) 232-1900.

Tonight, the Rochester Americans remain at home as they welcome the first and only visit from the Manchester Monarchs to The Blue Cross Arena this season. The 7:35 p.m. non-divisional contest can be heard live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and AHL Live.

The matchup falls on Wendy's Night. Fans can pick up a Wendy's Buy One, Get One ticket voucher at area participating Wendy's locations. Redeem your vouchers directly at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office. The game also features Olympian Night, with local 2008 Olympic fencers Hannah Thompson and Iris Zimmerman on hand to meet with fans and give a fencing demonstration. Lastly, tonight is also the Amerks' first "Seven Dollar Friday." For every Friday night home game, fans can purchase 200-upper end or balcony seating for just $7.00.

The game is the first of two scheduled meetings between the Amerks and Monarchs this season. Rochester split the season series against Manchester last season but holds a 3-1-0 lifetime record against the Los Angeles Kings' affiliate.
