Peterborough Petes News Release

The Peterborough Petes are proud to select defenceman Cameron Lizotte with their first of two second round draft picks is the OHL Priority Selection presented by Statefarm.

"Cameron seems physically like a man playing with boys.  He has all the characteristics to be a very good shut-down defensemen and a great penalty killer as well. He is an explosive skater which allows him to close gaps and take away time and space from the opposition.  He is one of the hardest hitters in this age group and does it on a consistent basis.  Cameron rarely loses a battle for the puck along the wall or in front of the net. When he has time he can make a good first pass and is going to be a player that other teams best players are not going to want to play against" says OHL Central Scouting.

"The Petes are very pleased to add Cameron to our blueline" says Petes General Manager Mike Oke.  "Cameron has one of the hardest shots in the entire Draft and is very hard to play against for opposing teams players."
