Colts Complete OHL Priority Selection

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are proud to announce that they have completed the 2013 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, presented by State Farm.

The 15 round draft took place on Saturday and the Colts selected a total of 13 players.

The Colts made forward Matthew Kreis their first round pick, 15th overall. Kreis put up 22 goals, 28 assists for 50 points with the Halton Hurricanes, good for second place in league scoring.

Barrie drafted a total of seven forwards, five defensemen and one goalie.

Rocky Kaura was the first defenceman taken in the fourth round with the 63rd overall pick. Kaura spent last season with the Mississauga Rebels.

The Colts used the 90th overall pick to select forward Drew Worrad from the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs.

Kevin Labelle was the only goaltender selected by the Colts in the 2013 draft. The 6'2" 184lbs netminder played last season for the Nickel City Sons.

With their last pick the Colts selected Michael Choma from the Brampton 45's.
