Colts Pick Matthew Kreis 15th Overall

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that they have selected centre Matthew Kreis in the first round, 15th overall in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection, presented by State Farm.

The 5'10" centre from Georgetown, ON registered 22 goals, 28 assists for 50 points in 38 games this season with the Halton Hurricanes.

"Matthew is a skilled two way centre with a high compete level and we are extremely happy to get him," said Colts General Manager Jason Ford.

In the 2013 OHL Cup Matthew Kreis was second in scoring on his team with 1 goal and 4 assists for 5 points in 5 games.

"He skates well, has excellent hockey sense and he plays hard in all three zones. Matthew is a character kid with plenty of upside", added Ford.
