Ottawa 67's Draft Travis Konecny First Overall

(Ottawa, ON.): The Ottawa 67's, as revealed at a news conference yesterday, announce that Travis Konecny of the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs is their 1st round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Travis Konecny is a 5'10 165 forward who recorded 53 goals and 61 assists last season.

"Travis is a high-energy player with top-end skills and we're looking forward to seeing him at our mini-camp next weekend." - Chris Byrne

Konecny and other 67's draft picks and invitees will attend a two-day mini-camp next weekend at the 67's training facility in the Fred Barrett Arena, Leitrim Road, Ottawa. The camp will include fitness testing, on-ice practices and scrimmages.
