Barrie Colts Sign Forward Owen Miehm

The Barrie Colts are proud to announce that forward Owen Miehm has signed an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Barrie Colts Hockey Club.

Miehm was selected by the Colts in the fifth round, 93rd overall, in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection. The right-winger was selected out of the Don Mills Flyers U16 AAA program.

The 2009-born forward has continued his development within the Colts organization and was among the players competing for a spot during Barrie's 2026 training camp. Miehm was listed on the Colts' White squad for training camp and has suited up for the club during the 2026 preseason.

Miehm brings a strong work ethic and offensive skill set to the Colts forward group as he continues his transition to the Ontario Hockey League.

"Owen is a big strong power forward and with a good development year in Oakville, we think Owen will be a strong player for the Barrie Colts next year," Colts General Manager, Marty Williamson, stated.

The signing marks another step in the development of the Colts' 2025 draft class as Miehm officially joins the organization under an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
