P-Bruins Fall To Pirates 2-0

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins fell to the Portland Pirates 2-0 Friday evening in front of 10,136 fans at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday at 4:05 p.m. for a Family Game against the Manchester Monarchss.

After a scoreless first and second period, the Pirates took a 1-0 lead at the 13:10 mark. Paul Byron tallied his 12th goal of the season, while Philip Gogulla and Marc-Andre Gragnani recorded the assists. Portland made it 2-0 at the 18:47 mark, while on a 5-on-3 power play opportunity. Mark Mancari netted his 26th goal of the season, with Nathan Gerbe and Gragnani picking up the assists. Portland went onto the 2-0 victory.

Dany Sabourin stopped 40 of 42 shots for the P-Bruins, while J.P. Lamoureux made 17 saves for the Pirates. The P-Bruins were 0-for-5 on the power play and 7-for-8 on the penalty kill.
