Olson Returns to AHL, Club Signs Rookie D-man

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno Falcons forward Glenn Olson was re-called to the Cleveland Barons today for his fourth stint with the American Hockey League club this season. In 17 games with the Falcons this year, Olson has recorded an assist and 67 penalty minutes.

In a separate transaction today, Fresno signed rookie defenseman Steve Driedger (pr: DREE-jer). The six-foot-six native of Santa Rosa, Calif., played his college hockey with Briercrest College in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference. He is expected to play tonight when the Falcons host the Dayton Bombers at Save Mart Center.

Tonight's game features the first-ever meeting between Fresno and the North Division Bombers. The first 2,000 fans will receive a free Falcons wallet courtesy of Solutions Mortgage, KSEE 24, and Kiss Country.
