
RoadRunners Continue "Read Across America"

Phoenix, Ariz. - Members of the Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL will spend Monday reading to kids at local elementary schools in Maricopa County to help promote "Read Across America Week".
Forwards Joe Dusbabek and Justin Quenneville and defenseman Brad Woods are scheduled to read to students from 12:30PM-2:30PM at John F. Long Elementary School (4407 North 55th Avenue; Phoenix); forward Shawn Snider and defensemen Paul Ballantyne and Taylor Christie are scheduled to read from 1PM-3PM at Ironwood Elementary School (14850 North 39th Avenue; Phoenix); and forward Miguel Lafleche and goaltender Mike Mole are scheduled to read from 1PM-3PM at Holiday Park Elementary School (4417 North 66th Avenue; Phoenix).
Started in 1998 as a way to get kids excited about reading, the National Education Association's "Read Across America" has become the nation's largest reading event. The NEA designates one week in March, on or near Dr. Seuss's March 2 birthday, as "Read Across America Week".
Players Jake Riddle, Dusty Demianiuk, Ben Knopp, Ryan Cyr, Snider, Woods, and Mole kicked off "Read Across America Week" last Monday as they read to students at Camelview Elementary, Heatherbrae Elementary, and Thew Elementary

Phoenix returns to US Airways Center at 7:11PM on Tuesday, March 7 as they open a two-game series with the Stockton Thunder.
