Monych Recalled To San Antonio

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder has announced right wing Lance Monych has been recalled to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.

Monych, 21, has compiled eight points (5g-3a) in eight games with the Thunder in 2005-06 prior to his promotion, including a current six-game point-scoring streak. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Monych was selected in the fourth round of the 2002 National Hockey League entry draft by the Phoenix Coyotes.

Prior to joining the Thunder, Monych appeared in 36 games with the Rampage, including a three-game stint with the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League during 2005-06, notching four goals.

The Thunder returns to play against the Dayton Bombers on Saturday, March 4 with a 7:30 p.m. PT face-off slated at Stockton Arena. The game can be heard live on the internet (free-of-charge) and is available for viewing at a $6 "pay-per-view" rate at www.stocktonthunder.com, courtesy of B-2 Networks.
