Nowak Loaned To Bridgeport

Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release


ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the New York Islanders, have announced that center Brett Nowak has signed a professional tryout agreement with the Bullies American Hockey League affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Nowak is the second Bullies player this season to receive a promotion to the AHL.

Nowak, 23, ranks third on the Bullies and tied for eighth in the ECHL in scoring with 7 goals and 17 points through the first 18 games. The New Haven, CT native was selected as the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for the week of November 8-14 after tallying two game-winning power play goals and adding seven assists to lead the Bullies to a perfect 4-0 record for the week. Nowak is currently riding a three-game scoring streak and has 5 goals and 14 points in his last 10 games.

Nowak was a fourth round draft choice of the Boston Bruins in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

Goaltender Adam Munro remains on recall to the Norfolk Admirals. Munro is 3-3 with a 2.50 goals against average and a .905% save percentage.

The Bullies open a two-game road trip at 7:30PM on Friday at Toledo. Catch all the action live beginning with "Bullies Countdown" at 7:10PM on ESPN Radio 1450AM. Atlantic City returns to Historic Boardwalk Hall at 7:05PM on Wednesday, December 8 when they host the Wheeling Nailers. Every Wednesday home game is a "Wild Wednesday."
