Texas Wildcatters News Release

Beaumont, TX (November 29, 2004) – The Texas Wildcatters, an affiliate of the Florida Panthers (NHL) and San Antonio Rampage (AHL), played three games this week, posting a 1-1-1 record.

On Wednesday, the Wildcatters rallied from a 2-0 deficit. Andrew Ianiero scored a power play goal to cut the lead in half and Ryan Fultz followed with a power play goal of his own in the third to tie the game. The rally fell just short in overtime after Brian Stacey rang a hard shot off the post Las Vegas broke out and scored a goal through the five-hole on netminder Davis Parley.

On Friday, the Wildcatters won in convincing fashion shutting out the Mississippi Sea Wolves 4-0 in Biloxi. Phil Osaer turned aside all 34 shots that he faced. Brad Voth scored the game-winning goal and added another goal later in the game. Tim Branham and John Snowden also scored. Andrew Ianiero had two assists in the winning effort.

On Saturday, the Wildcatters closed out the week with a 1-0 loss at home against the Louisiana IceGators. This hard fought battle was scoreless until Louisiana's Chris Thompson beat netminder Davis Parley early in the third period.

The Wildcatters have five days off to rest up for a pair of rematches this week. They finish out the week in Lafayette against the IceGators on Friday, and in Mississippi on Saturday. The team returns to Beaumont on Sunday, to face-off against the division leading Gwinnett Gladiators.
