Boucher Named Reebok ECHL Goalie of the Week

FLORENCE, SC -- The ECHL announced today that Pee Dee Pride goaltender Nick Boucher is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week for the week ending November 28.

Boucher went 3-0-0 last week, improving his overall record to 5-2-2 on the season. In his three appearances last week, Boucher posted a 1.63 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage.

This is the second time this season that a Pride player has been honored by the ECHL. Kyle Kidney was named InGlasCo Player of the Week for the opening weekend of the season.

This is the first goalie of the week honor for a Pride goaltender since Sandy Allan won the award for the week ending January 8, 2001. Allan won the honor four times during his career with the Pride. Besides Allan and Boucher, the only other Pride goaltender to win the weekly award was Luciano Caravaggio in the 1997-98 season.

The Pride return home for three games this weekend. Friday, Pee Dee hosts Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. in a showdown for first place in the East Division. Saturday and Sunday, the Florida Everblades are in town for a pair of games. Saturday's game starts at 7:30, while Sunday's match-up is a 2:30 p.m. maintee.
