Fresno Falcons Weekly Update

November 30, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fresno Falcons News Release

LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 2-1-0 OVERALL RECORD: 6-8-1, 13 pts.

November 25 vs. Victoria, 4-2 Win - The Falcons stormed to a 3-0 lead behind goals from Kris Porter, Derek Krestanovich and Shaun Sutter before having to weather a comeback led by the Salmon Kings' power play. Fresno never yielded the equalizer, though, and David Brisson added an empty-netter with under a minute to play to seal the win.

November 26 vs. Victoria, 5-2 Win - Fresno won its season-high third in a row overall and fifth straight at home by scoring three unanswered goals in the third period to blow open a 2-2 game. Jan Sochor recorded two of the third period goals, including the game-winner, in his first game as a Falcon.

November 27 @ San Diego, 6-1 Loss - Playing their third game in three days while San Diego sat idle for a week, the Falcons blitzed the Gulls with 15 shots in the first period only to be stonewalled by goaltender Mathieu Chouinard. Although Jason Weaver finally solved Chouinard to open the scoring early in the second, San Diego used four power play goals to score six unanswered and keep Fresno winless on the road this year.
