Dayton, OH â The Dayton Bombers lost their first two games last week, then snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over Peoria on Saturday. Dayton will play 6 of their next 7 at home.

Wednesday at Wheeling, (3-7 L) â The Dayton Bombers dropped a 7-3 decision to the Wheeling Nailers in front of 2,444 at WesBanco Arena in West Virginia. JANNE JOKILA opened the scoring for Dayton, but Kenny Corupe tied the game, 1-1. In the second period, Corupe, T.J. Reynolds and Chris MacKenzie scored for the Nailers, while TYLER KOLARIK countered for the Bombers, who trailed 4-2 after two periods. Goaltender ANDREW PENNER allowed 4 goals on 25 shots and was replaced after two periods by MIKE AYERS, who faced 16 shots and recorded 13 saves in the third period. AARON FOSTER scored a third period goal for Dayton.
Thursday vs. Toledo, (3-5 L) - Dayton dropped a 5-3 decision to the Toledo Storm in front of 2,319 at the Nutter Center on Thanksgiving. The Bombers opened the scoring when TYLER KOLARIK extended his point scoring streak to a team-high five games with his 7th goal of the season at 2:35 of the first period. Back-to-back PPG's gave the Storm a 2-1 lead. JIM LEGER scored his 1st goal in a Bomber's uniform this season at 10:59 of the second period, and the teams were tied, 2-2, after two. Dayton tied the game, 3-3, when AARON FOSTER ripped a shot past goaltender Logan Koopmans at 6:45 of the third period. But 4:18 seconds later, Maris Ziedins scored the GWG, while Tyler Knight added an ENG and the Storm beat the Bombers, 5-3.
Saturday vs. Peoria, (5-2 W) - The Bombers snapped a 3-game skid with a 5-2 win over the Peoria Rivermen in front of 3,019 at the Nutter Center Saturday. The Bombers spotted the visitors a 1-0 lead when Brian McCullough beat ANDREW PENNER with a PPG at 10:58 of the 1st period. After serving a penalty for slashing, JANNE JOKILA stepped out of the box and ripped a wristshot past Chris Beckford-Tseu to tie the game, 1-1, at 16:40. James Sanford gave Peoria a 2-1 lead at 7:48 of the second period. But 1:13 seconds later, MIKE SCHUTTE scored his 1st of the season, shorthanded, to tie the game, 2-2. BEN KNOPP scored the GWG with :08 seconds left in the second period. In the third, Jokila added his 2nd goal of the game and TYLER KOLARIK extended his team-high point scoring streak to 6 games with his 8th goal of the season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The Bombers nominated JANNE JOKILA for ECHL Player of the Week. The 22-year old Turku, Finland native recorded 3 goals, 2 assists and 5 points in 3 games last week. He chipped in 1 goal and 1 assist in a 7-3 loss in Wheeling on Wednesday. Jokila recorded an assist in a 5-3 loss to Toledo on Thanksgiving night. And he scored two goals in a 5-2 win over Peoria on Saturday. That was the first multiple goal game for a Bombers player this season.
