
Norfolk Recalls Norm Ezekiel from Utah; Adds Jamie MacQueen

NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals announced Friday that the team has recalled defenseman Norm Ezekiel from the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL. In addition, the Admirals have signed forward Jamie MacQueen to a PTO contract.
Ezekiel, 22, has appeared in three games with Utah this season adding nine penalty minutes. Last season, the 5-8, 185-pound blue-liner scored a goal and posted 112 penalty minutes in 27 games played with the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL. In addition, Ezekiel logged 23 penalty minutes in nine appearances with the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League. The Barrie, Ontario native played two seasons with the Barrie Colts (OHL) totaling 20 points (9g, 11a) and 262 penalty minutes from 2010-2012.
MacQueen, 25, has registered an ECHL best six goals in three games played with Utah this season. Last week he scored all five Utah goals, which helped him earn ECHL Player of the Week honors for the week of October 18-20. Last season, The 6-1, 185-pound forward registered 15 points (7g, 8a) in 33 games played with the Denver Cutthroats of the Central Hockey League, and posted five points (3g, 2a) with the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL). The London, Ontario native played four seasons at Bemidji State University (WCHA) compiling 47 points (24g, 23a) and 96 penalty minutes from 2008-2012.
Ezekiel and MacQueen attended the Admirals 2013 training camp last month, and appeared in preseason games against the Charlotte Checkers.
