Barons Begin Work on Habitat for Humanity Home on October 29

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons players, coaches and front office staff members are working with Habitat for Humanity to begin the framework for a home at their Epperly Heights area in Del City on Tuesday, October 29.

The office staff begins the project the morning of October 29 at 8:30 a.m. and will work until approximately noon. Following lunch, the players and coaching staff will take over and work from 1 - 3 p.m. The Barons work on this particular project includes framing the home and interior painting the house in approximately six weeks.

Habitat for Humanity's Epperly Heights addition Area is located north of SE 29th street between Bryant and Sunnylane Rd. The address for the building location is 3736 SE 23rd Street, approximately a mile and a half south of I-40 and Sunnylane.

"This marks the fourth straight season that both the hockey operations and front office staffs have taken part in this process," said Prodigal LLC owner Bob Funk Jr. "We are proud to work with our friends at Habitat for Humanity to continue to improve the quality of life in Oklahoma City and provide homes to families."

Oklahoma City is in the midst of a three-game road trip. The Barons take on the San Antonio Rampage in a pair of games this weekend at the AT&T Center in San Antonio. Faceoff Friday is 7:30 p.m., while faceoff Saturday is 7 p.m.
