
Comets Sign Brayden Irwin

Utica Comets Director of Hockey Operations, Pat Conacher, announced today that the team has signed forward Brayden Irwin to a professional tryout contract (PTO).
Irwin, 26, has recorded 19 points (8-11-19) and 57 penalty minutes over 66 AHL games with the Toronto Marlies and the Norfolk Admirals. The center has also skated in two NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he was held scoreless and picked up two penalty minutes.
The Toronto, ONT native has netted two points (1-1-2) over two games with the ECHL's Stockton Thunder thus far this season. He split 2012-13 between the Admirals and the Florida Everglades of the ECHL. With the Everglades, he notched 29 points (14-15-29) and 18 penalty minutes over 38 games played.
