Pirates Announce "Goals for Good" Program
October 25, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Portland Pirates News Release
Lewiston, Maine - The Portland Pirates, AHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes, announced the inaugural Goals for Good program for the 2013-14 season. On-Target Utility Services, Baxter Brewing Company, L.L. Bean, and Provider Power will serve as the corporate partners for the Goals for Good program.
The Goals for Good program was conceived by the Pirates' marketing partner, Shamrock Sports and Entertainment, to help further the charitable efforts of the Portland Pirates and tie team performance, corporate partners, and foundations together for the betterment of the local community. Each of the Goals for Good sponsors has an in-ice advertisement for the 2013-14 season at the Androscoggin Bank Colis̮̩e in Lewiston. For every goal scored by the Pirates from the sponsor's portion of the ice, a $100 donation will be made to a charity of the sponsor's choosing. The four corporate sponsors have paired up with the following charities:
Provider Power and New Beginnings
LL Bean and Healthy Hometowns
On Target Utility Services and ME Children's Cancer Program
Baxter Brewing Co. and Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice
The amount each charity will receive will be tracked online on the Pirates website, portlandpirates.com/community/goalsforgood, as well as announced during every Pirates home game.
"We're excited to increase our charitable efforts though the Goals for Good program." said Brian Petrovek, Pirates Managing Owner/CEO. "Shamrock Sports and Entertainment has created a dynamic program that benefits both our sponsors as well as local charities through the talents of our players."
Pro-rated season, group, flex and family ticket packages are available for all remaining Pirates games by calling the Androscoggin Bank Colisee box office at (207) 783-2009 ext. 525. Tickets are also available online at thecolisee.com.
