Wheeling Nailers News Release
Wheeling, WV - The Wheeling Nailers announced the release of their 2005-2006 schedule that showcases additional Saturday Night Games and additional promotional opportunities for the coming year.
The Wheeling Nailers begin their 2005-2006 hockey schedule by visiting Trenton on Saturday, October 22, 2005. The following week the Nailers open their home schedule on Friday, October 28, 2005 while hosting the Reading Royals. The home schedule, featuring thirty-six (36) games at WesBanco Arena, encompasses eleven (11) Saturday nights, eleven (11) Friday nights, eight (8) Sunday games, three(3) Wednesday nights ,two (2) Thursday nights and one(1) Monday night game.
This year, as in the past, the Nailers will have special nights and themed activities that will make the hockey experience overall more enjoyable for the fans of the Ohio Valley. This year Sundays will be a special "Family Sunday Funday" featuring cartoon characters, and activities designed with children in mind. "One of our main objectives continues to be the overall experience a person has at our home games ," commented Rob Brooks, president of the Nailers organization. We, the Nailers organization, want our fans to leave the game with an overall feeling of satisfaction and excitement no matter what the outcome," Brooks concluded.
This year Eight (8) of the eleven Saturday nights have been designated as "The Awesome 8" part of a special ticket package that will feature special premium giveaway items and theme nights sure to please all sports fans. This special package will be offered for a special price of only $88 per package per seat.
The division and conference alignments and the format for the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs will be announced following the Annual Board of Governors Meeting on June 21-22.
