Wildcatters Release 2005-2006 Schedule

BEAUMONT, TX (June 20, 2005) - The Texas Wildcatters released their 72-game schedule for the upcoming 2005-06 season. Returning for their third season of professional hockey in Southeast Texas, the Wildcatters home schedule features 24 Friday and Saturday night games and a total of 32 weekend dates.
The Wildcatters will open their 2005-06 home schedule on Saturday, October 29 at 7:05 p.m. against their arch-rivals from Mississippi. The game will be one of twelve this year against the Sea Wolves (6 home, 6 away).
Texas opens the season on the road with a pair of games on October 21 and 22 against the ECHL American Conference Champion Florida Everblades. The two teams will meet a total of eight times during the season (4 home, 4 away).
"We are very excited to host 14 home games on Saturday night and 32 weekend dates," said Rick Adams, Owner of the Texas Wildcatters. "10 teams return to Ford Arena and fans will get a chance to watch three new teams make their first appearance in Southeast Texas."
The Wildcatters will face-off against the Pensacola Ice Pilots 12 times (6 home, 6 away) and the Gwinnett Gladiators seven times (3 home and 4 away). The team will host the Sea Wolves on New Year's Eve and will celebrate Valentine's Day in Las Vegas against the Wranglers.
Other home games of note include a pair of games against the Pacific Division Champions, the Alaska Aces, November 4 and 11 and a visit from the Phoenix Roadrunners, one of three new teams in the ECHL this season, on February 4 and 5.
The division and conference alignments and the format for the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs will be announced following the Annual Board of Governors Meeting on June 21-22.
