The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have released centre Matt Craig from his pro tryout contract.

Craig, 23, played in six games with the Moose during his second pro tryout contract. He scored one goal in his first AHL game on March 1/06 at Chicago and added one assist for two points, as well as two penalty minutes. The London, ON native did not see any action with the Moose during his initial pro tryout contract due to a foot injury. In 47 games this year with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL, Craig has scored 24 goals and 25 assists for 49 points and 34 penalty minutes. Craig also spent four seasons at Quinnipac University where he played 140 games and scored 60 goals and 133 points, along with 137 penalty minutes.
