
Crunch Acquire Defenseman Dustin Wood -- Left Wing Greg Mauldin Loaned to Houston

Syracuse, NY (March 13, 2006) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have acquired, on loan, defenseman Dustin Wood from the Minnesota Wild and have loaned left wing Greg Mauldin to the Houston Aeros.
Wood, 24, has appeared in 64 games with Houston this season, tallying 1 goal, 6 assists and 48 penalty minutes. A native of Scarborough, Ontario, Wood has appeared in 225 career AHL games with Bridgeport, Springfield, Utah and Houston, recording 5 goals, 20 assists and 109 penalty minutes.
Mauldin, 23, has appeared in 56 games with Syracuse this season, recording 12 goals, 17 assists and 51 penalty minutes. In 124 career AHL games, all with Syracuse, Mauldin has registered 19 goals, 37 assists and 98 penalty minutes. A native of Holliston, Massachusetts, Mauldin was selected by Columbus in the seventh round, 199th overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft.
