Monarchs Send Hanchuck To Reading

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angelss Kings, has returned defenseman Tyler Hanchuck to the ECHL's Reading Royals, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today. Hanchuck, 23, recorded zero points and zero penalty minutes in his only Monarchs game on November 23 against the Portland Pirates. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defenseman from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, has appeared in 11 games with the Royals this season, collecting 21 penalty minutes. Hanchuck agreed to a one-year contract with the Monarchs on September 30, 2005.

A post-Thanksgiving match-up between the Monarchs and the Hartford Wolf Pack is scheduled for Friday, November 25 at 7:35 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arean. The Monarchs will travel to play the Springfield Falcons for the third time this season on Saturday, November 26 at 7:05 p.m. before returning home to host the Providence Bruins at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday, November 27.
