Hershey Bears News Release
Black Friday finds the BEARS in Virginia as the team brings an 11-game point streak to Norfolk. HERSHEY looks to make it four wins in a row tonight for the first time in 2005-06 against the Admirals.
The BEARS traveled to Norfolk Thanksgiving day after defeating the Cleveland Barons 4-2 at GIANT Center on Wednesday night. Dave Steckel enjoyed his best offensive game as a HERSHEY skater, scoring two goals and narrowly missing a third into an empty net with time running out. Graham Mink scored his team leading 13th goal of the year while Chris Bourque rejoined the lineup for the first time in over three weeks and scored his third of the season. The win gave HERSHEY three separate three-game winning streaks in the first 19 games of the season.
HERSHEY begins the night in second place in the East Division, trailing Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by seven points. The BEARS lead third place Bridgeport by ten points as play commences tonight, the largest lead that HERSHEY has had over the third place team in the division all season. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is in Rochester tonight for a game with the Americans at 7:35 p.m., while Bridgeport travels to Syracuse for a date with the Crunch at 7:30 p.m.
Tonight's game can be heard on 100.1 FM WQIC, Pennlive.com and B2 Networks provides video of the game through HersheyBears.com. John Walton has the call of the action beginning with the pregame show at 6:55 p.m. Tickets remain for HERSHEY'S game Saturday night against Norfolk at GIANT Center, both at the GIANT Center box office or by calling (717) 508-BEAR.
