Bears sink Admirals 4-2 Friday at Norfolk Scope

HERSHEY now owns a 12-game point streak after a 4-2 win on the road over the Norfolk Admirals Friday night in the beginning of a home-and-home series.

Norfolk came out with 16 shots in the first period against Kirk Daubenspeck while the BEARS mustered but four against Corey Crawford of the Admirals, but the two teams remained scoreless after the first twenty minutes. In the second period, HERSHEY'S Eric Fehr got the scoring underway with his ninth goal of the season at 1:45. After Norfolk tied the game with a goal from Anton Babchuk at 10:24, Boyd Gordon scored a five on three power play goal at 15:15 to take a 2-1 lead to the dressing room after two periods.

In the third period, Louis Robitaille scored his second goal of the season to run HERSHEY'S lead to 3-1, but Norfolk would close within a goal when Martin St. Pierre scored at 14:32 of the third. Dave Steckel would put the game away with his fifth goal of the season at 17:24. Fehr was named the game's number one star, Daubenspeck was number two star, and Steckel rounded out the stars with the third. Daubenspeck made 41 saves, a HERSHEY season high.
