HAMILTON, ON - Ryane Clowe registered three points and Doug Murray scored the game-winning goal as the Barons ended a four-game skid with a 6-5 win at Hamilton. Dimitri Patzold turned aside 24 Hamilton shots for his second win of the year. The Barons received two separate five-on-three power plays and converted on both to lead Hamilton 2-1 after twenty minutes of action. Ryane Clowe's first of the season at the 2:47 mark gave the Barons a 1-0 lead. Less than a minute later Hamilton tied the game at 1-1 with an even strength goal from Brad Winchester. The Barons then re-established their one-goal lead with Bernier' s fifth goal of the season on a rebound. Garrett Stafford assisted on both goals for the Barons. Hamilton battled back with two goals in the second period as the team's skated to a 3-3 tie after forty minutes of action. The Bulldogs' Ron Hainsey scored his third goal of the year, on a power play, to tie the game at 2-2 just past the midpoint of the period. Duncan Milroy then gave Hamilton their first lead of the night with his fifth tally of the season about five minutes later. The Barons clawed their way back into the game with another power play goal to tie the game at 3-3 with less than two minutes to play in the period. Ray DiLauro's slap shot snuck past Hamilton goaltender Cristobal Huet from the point for the defenseman's second of the year. Ryane Clowe assisted on the goal for his third point of the night while Tomas Plihal hit the scoresheet with an assist as well. Hamilton out-shot the Barons 12-6 in the second period. Shane Joseph, Patrick Rissmiller and Doug Murray all scored third period goals leading the Barons to a 6-5 victory. The Bulldogs' Michael Lambert deflected a shot past Dimitri Patzold for a power play goal, giving Hamilton their third lead of the night at 5-4. The Barons answered back with the final two tallies of the game as Patrick Rissmiller scored his seventh of the season and helped set up the game-winner by Murray with 6:06 remaining in the game. Bernier returned from an injury suffered earlier in the period to set up the game-winner.
