ADVANTAGE MANCHESTER
The Monarchs currently sit 2nd in the league with 3.69 goals per game, while the Grizzlies defense is 22nd in the league, with a goals against average of 3.52. Utah has allowed 12 goals in their last two games and have allowed an average of 4.40 goals in the month of March. Manchester has racked up 13 goals in their last three games and have found their offense, after scoring just seven goals in their previous five games.
LAST TIME WE MET
Manchester had the Grizzlies right where they wanted them when they traveled to the Maverik Center in Utah, back in November, winning all three games on the weekend.The Monarchs lit the lamp 14 times that weekend, outscoring the Grizzlies, 14-5, including seven third period goals. Charles Williams allowed just two goals in two starts on the weekend, posting a 0.96 goals against average and a .968 save percentage.
WAKE UP!
The Monarchs have allowed the first goal in 10 straight games, but have battled back to win five of those games. In four of the five wins, the Monarchs have been trailing at the end of the first period and made their way back in the final 40 minutes. The Monarchs have bounced back in 16 games this season when allowing the first goal, posting a record of 16-14-0-1 when opponents score first.
