
Military Heroes Card Sets & Heroes Recognition this Friday

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels will be giving the first 1,000 fans through the gates on Friday, July 4th a set of our first annual Military Heroes Baseball Cards. There are 39 heroes included in the set, and they represent every branch of the military, and honor those who are currently serving our country, those who are now retired from military service, and those who bravely fought for our country, but have since passed away.
In addition, all heroes that were included in the card set that could make it to the game will be recognized in a post-game ceremony on the field, along with family members. The list of those included in the card set is included.

Gates will open at 3:30 PM and first pitch is set for 5:05 PM. In addition to the Military Heroes Baseball Card Sets, the Kernels will wear special patriotic jerseys that will be sold during the game via a silent auction with the proceeds to benefit Stand Down for Veterans.
Tickets may be purchased on-line at www.kernels.com, or by calling the Kernels Ticket Office at 896-7560. Ticket office hours are 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday.
