Marlies Earn 3-1 Win in Hamilton

Toronto Marlies News Release


The Toronto Marlies defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, by a score of 3-1 tonight at Copps Coliseum.

Toronto opened the scoring on Jerry D'Amigo's fifth goal of the season at 13:03 of the first period. The Marlies would open up a 2-0 lead when David Broll notched his first pro goal on a powerplay at 3:17 of the middle frame. Gabriel Dumont cut Toronto's lead in half less than one minute later. Sam Carrick secured the victory for the Marlies, tallying his second goal of the season two minutes after Dumont's marker.

The Marlies return to the ice tomorrow afternoon when they host the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres. Puck drop is 3 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825) or by visiting marlies.ca.
