
Crunch Sign Ray Kaunisto to PTO

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch have signed forward Ray Kaunisto to a professional tryout contract, Crunch General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today.
Kaunisto, 26, has appeared in 13 games for the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL this season; recording five assists. The Sault Ste. Marie, MI native has appeared in 143 career AHL games, collecting 36 points (15g, 21a) with Manchester and St. John's. Kaunisto has played in 65 career ECHL contests, earning 28 points (7g, 21a) for Colorado and Kalamazoo. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound center played four years for Northern Michigan University earning 62 points (36g, 26a) in 161 NCAA games.
Kaunisto is expected to be available when the Crunch host the St. John's IceCaps tonight at 7 p.m.
