
Marlies Announce 2008-09 TV Schedule

The Toronto Marlies announced Friday that their 29 game television schedule for the upcoming season will begin on Saturday, October 18 when they host the Hartford Wolf Pack - AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers - live at 7:00 p.m. The Marlies will partner with Rogers Cable to air 29 games which will comprise of Friday, Saturday and Sunday home dates.
"We're excited to further extend our relationship with Rogers to bring Marlies game broadcasts to Rogers Cable viewers," said Tom Anselmi, executive vice-president and chief operating officer of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. "Rogers is a great television partner that will support bringing Marlies games to more Toronto homes and hockey fans. This relationship will also expose new audiences to the exciting brand of Marlies and AHL hockey."
The television play-by-play duties will be handled by the voice of the Marlies, John Bartlett, who returns for his fourth season calling the action. Former NHLer and Toronto Maple Leaf, Bob McGill, will join Bartlett in the booth for the 2008-09 regular season.
The Marlies return to action this Saturday at Ricoh Coliseum against the Wolf Pack.
