Houston Aeros' Kolanos recalled by Minnesota Wild

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Krys Kolanos under emergency conditions from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) and placed Pierre-Marc Bouchard on Injured Reserve.

Kolanos, 27 (7/27/81), recorded three goals in two games with Houston this season including the game-winner in a 2-1 overtime win against the Chicago Wolves in the Aeros home opener on Oct. 11. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound native of Calgary, Alberta has notched 35 points (17-18=35) in 115 career NHL matches with Phoenix and Edmonton. Kolanos last appeared in an NHL game on Dec. 15, 2005 against Montreal. He was originally selected by the Coyotes in the first round (19th overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Kolanos will wear sweater #39 with the Wild.

Houston carries their undefeated opening weekend into a home-and-home weekend against the San Antonio Rampage starting Saturday. The Aeros' 7:35 p.m. game at Toyota Center on Saturday is the 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness game with 3,000 pink t-shirts provided to fans as they enter the arena.
