LOOKING BACK:
Alex Bourret netted two goals against his former team to give San Antonio a 2-1 victory over Chicago at the AT&T Center on Wednesday night... Rampage goaltender Josh Tordjman made 25 saves in the victory, with Joey Crabb netteing the Wolves' lone score.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Hershey takes its league-best 3-0-0-0 record into the first of 12 meetings with arch-rival Philadelphia on Friday at the Wachovia Spectrum... The Bears, who are 13-1-2-2 over the last three seasons in Philly, have racked up 17 goals in winning three divisional road games to start the year... Reigning AHL player of the week Keith Aucoin leads the league with seven points (2-5-7) for Hershey, and Graham Mink shows four goals and six points... The Bears have also received five points apiece thus far from Chris Bourque (2-3-5) and Alexandre Giroux (2-3-5)... Hershey's power play sits atop the league at 36.8 percent (7-for-19)... Philadelphia, which dropped seven of 12 games to the Bears in 2007-08, split a pair of games on the opening weekend... Darroll Powe (1-1-2) is the only member of the Phantoms with more than one point... Boyd Kane, who captained both Philadelphia (2005) and Hershey (2006) to Calder Cup titles, scored seven of his 18 goals in 2007-08 against the Bears.
Syracuse travels down I-81 on Friday to square off with Binghamton in a battle of teams sporting 2-0-0-0 records on the young season... The Crunch, who snapped Philadelphia's AHL-record 17-game winning streak on Nov. 28, 2004, have now 17 straight regular-season games themselves... Mike York is coming off a three-assist showing against Rochester last Saturday and sports four points overall for Syracuse (1-3-4)... York is tied for the Crunch scoring lead with Adam Pineault (1-3-4) and Tom Sestito (1-3-4)... Senators second-year goaltender Brian Elliott has stopped 66 of 68 shots (.971) in his club's two victories to open the campaign, victories last weekend in Toronto and Rochester... 2006 AHL All-Star Ryan Shannon shows two points (1-1-2) for Binghamton, tied for the team lead with rookie Zack Smith (1-1-2)... The Sens have won seven of their last eight home meetings with Syracuse.
Atlantic Division rivals Lowell and Manchester play a home-and-home set this weekend, beginning on Friday at Tsongas Arena in Lowell... The Devils won a conference-low 25 games last season but were 7-3-0-0 against the Monarchs last season... Rookie forward Matt Halischuk is coming off a four-goal, five-point performance in Lowell's 6-4 victory over Worcester on Oct. 11... Newcomer Jon DiSalvatore had four assists in that game and sports five points overall (1-4-5), tied with Halischuk and Nicklas Bergfors (1-4-5) for the Devils' team lead... Manchester dropped a 6-3 decision to Portland in its season opener Oct. 11... Rookies Josh Kidd and Bud Holloway netted goals, as did returnee Gabe Gauthier... Gauthier registered a team-high five goals (5-3-8) in eight games against Lowell last season.

2005 AHL All-Star Mikko Koivu tallied a goal and four assists and Benoit Pouliot had a goal and an assist as Minnesota rolled past Florida on Thursday, 6-2... 2007-08 AHL All-Rookie defenseman Alex Goligoski netted a goal for Pittsburgh, but the Penguins fell to Washington, 4-3... Jannik Hansen, who recorded 43 points in 50 AHL games with Manitoba last season, notched his first career NHL goal in Vancouver's 4-3 win at Detroit.
