
Brown, Johnson Reassigned To Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned goaltender David Brown and right wing Nick Johnson from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to the Wheeling Nailers, it was announced on Friday.
Brown, 23, allowed four goals in 20 minutes of play during an 8-4 loss to Hershey on October 8. He was reassigned to Wheeling on October 9, then returned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on October 11.
The second-year pro recorded a 9-7-1 record with a 2.34 goals against average and a .913 save percentage in 19 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last season. He also posted a 6-6-1 record with a 3.31 goals against average and a .913 save percentage in 13 games with Wheeling last season.
The former Notre Dame netminder was originally selected by Pittsburgh in the eighth round (228th overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft. He was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award during his senior season with the Fighting Irish.
Johnson, 22, has not appeared in a game with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. The rookie forward appeared in four regular season games with the Penguins last season, recording one assist. He also suited up for 10 playoff games, recording one assist and two penalty minutes.
The Calgary native played four seasons at Dartmouth College, recording 125 points (57+68) in 133 games. Johnson ranks 10th on Dartmouth's all-time scoring list, and was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year in 2005. He was Pittsburgh's third round choice (67th overall) in the 2004 NHL Draft.
