
Maple Leafs Announce Roster Moves

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced that St. John's netminder Mikael Tellqvist and the team's top goal scorer Brad Leeb have been recalled. Tellqvist has a 6-5-0 record, a 2.46 GAA and a .919 save percentage in 11 appearances with St. John's. Tellqvist has a 2-0-2 record and a 2.51 GAA in five games with Toronto this season. Tellqvist was Toronto's 3rd choice, 70th overall in 2000.
Leeb is second in St. John's scoring with 27 points and has a team leading 15 goals in 38 games. Leeb became a Maple Leaf September 4, 2002 in a trade with the Vancouver Canucks. Leeb led St. John's last season with 61 points and had a career high 35 goals in 79 games.
Goaltender Jamie Hodson has been recalled from the Greensboro Generals of the ECHL. Hodson has a 3-5-0 record, a 4.46 GAA and .890 save percentage in 10 appearances with St. John's this season. Hodson recently backstopped Team Canada to a gold medal performance at the 2004 Spengler Cup in Switzerland.
The Maple Leafs play the Manitoba Moose this Tuesday and Wednesday at Mile One Stadium. Each game will be broadcast LIVE on Radio NL (930AM) and www.sjmapleleafs.ca. All game times are scheduled for 7:30pm (NT).
